Garrett is one of our own – a true Rooster. Living just a couple of drop punts away from JE Moore Park, Garrett started playing at West in 2003, as a 6 year old in our Under 9s, playing a total of 133 junior games. At U19/Senior level he has played 63 games with 42 of those in A grade, for a grand total of 196 games with our Club.

One astonishing fact is that as a 15 year old, Garrett played in our Club’s Reserves grade Premiership team and was awarded the NFL’s Best On Ground award in that game. He was also named Best On Ground in the Preliminary Final win.

Garrett went on to represent our Club in our back-to-back Senior Premiership wins in 2018 and 2019 and was named as our Club’s Best On Ground in the 2019 win.

Garrett’s record in Club Best & Fairest awards is as follows:

• 2006 Under 10 3rd

• 2007 Under 11 1st

• 2008 Under 12 3rd

• 2009 Under 13 3rd

• 2010 Under 14 5th

• 2011 Under 15 1st

• 2012 Under 17 3rd in NFL B&F

Whilst his football performances speak for themselves, more importantly, Garrett is a great young man from a great, West family. Parents Ambrose & Theresa, brother Niall and sisters Claire & Annie have all been a part of our Club for what seems like an eternity.

The entire West Preston family & community could not be any prouder of Garrett. We are so happy that one of our own gets to live out their childhood dream.
