WPLFC GIRLS TO REPRESENT VICTORIA AT NATIONAL SCHOOL CHAMPIONSHIPS
10 May 17

Each year, talented Victorian School students have the opportunity to trial for a place in the School Sport Victoria (SSV) Team Vic State team. Selected students participate in annual School Sport Australia (SSA) Championships including the Pacific School Games (PSG) held every second year. These championships offer gifted and talented students the opportunity to participate in higher levels of sporting competition against students from other Australian States and Territories.

Current AFL players who have participated include Joel Selwood, Nathan Jones, Jack Viney, Dyson Heppell, Trent Cotchin, Josh Kennedy (Sydney), Bob Murphy and Jack Ziebell.
Current AFL women players who played are Ellie Blackburne and Rebecca Privitelli.

Maeve Caplin has again been selected to play for Victoria in the School Sports AFL Football 15 Under Girls team which will contest the National Championship in Perth & Mandurah West Australia 22nd July to 29th July 2017.
Joining her this year is another Rooster -
Ashleigh Snow.

We wish both girls and the VIC side the best of luck. The attendance at these events is self funded so the girls will be selling Raffle tickets at the club over the coming weeks – please buy a couple to help them out.

Good Luck, Maeve and Ashleigh!
