    10 Sep 19
Thursday 12 September, 2019 is our national day of action dedicated to reminding everyone that every day is the day to ask, “ARE YOU OK?” and support those struggling with life’s ups and downs. Take some time out on that day to ask a friend, loved one or colleague “R U OK?” Sometimes a conversation can make all the difference. Trust the signs, trust your gut, ask R U OK? At the Roosters we are one large family who through the course of a season suffer our ups and downs – some privately, some publicly. The comforting thought throughout these trials and tribulations is you’re not alone. You may think at times you are, but there is always someone their willing to

    VALE JACK REIMERS
    08 Sep 19
Vale Jack Reimers The Reimers name is synonymous with the RLFC, starting their association in 1972 when Jack and Bonnie’s son Graham (Ribs) started playing in the Under 17’s. Bonnie joined the Social committee where she was a member for many years. Jack became officially involved in 1974 fulfilling many and varied roles, Jack was there till the end of Lakies as a stand alone club in 1997. Jack, Bonnie and Ribs are all Life Members of RLFC Jack loved being involved at Lakies, whether it was making numerous deliveries and pick ups for the club in the famous IPEC truck or hosting the Boot Club at each game or being at the rooms every Saturday and Sunday from 6am getting them ready for Home games and the infamous Bonanza Sunday’s or just the more sedate PSM’s or the Family Home hosting a Lakies function, Jack loved it all. When Lakies were really in need of a steady hand in troubled times the club could always turn to Jack and the family and they never let the White and Red down. Jack Reimers a true gentlemen and wonderful person and an absolute Lakies Legend you will be sadly missed and the club ever grateful you and your family became involved President 5 Years Vice President 4 years General Committee 4 years Ground Manager 11 years Team Manager 5 years Secretary Delegate RIP JACK REIMERS

GIVING THANKS TO OUR VOLUNTEERS - JANE DELOS
    06 Sep 19
This week a grateful club pays homage to Jane Delos. Jane is a women who wears many hats (well beanies). Jane is one of the clubs welfare officers, she is our team manager co-ordinator as well as being one herself with the under 15’s and has been a general committee member for a number of years now – and a medic when needed! Jane has 3 children playing at the club in the under 10’s, 15’s and Senior Women’s and she’s married to a life member, get the impression Jane has spent many a year at the Roosters? Her passion for the club is boundless. She supports our players, parents and members alike, she is always willing to listen and offer some advice or assistance when needed. Jane understands the need for volunteers to keep our great club running from one season to the next and she leads by example just rolling up the sleeves and getting stuck in. Take the recent Junior finals we hosted, with her own team playing the first two weeks, she was still one of the first into the canteen to help out, before heading off to the footy. With the junior season now finished, she’s still putting up her hand, this time to represent the club (with a couple of others) at the NFNL Junior Club Forum, now that’s dedication. Why does she do it? Because she loves the place and we love her. Jane from a grateful club, we say – Thank you.
