West Preston Lakeside Football Club is excited to announce the appointment of Rob Maiorana as Senior Coach. Rob, a former WPLFC premiership player (2003) and B & F winner (1999, 2000 & 2004) returns to Moore Park with extensive coaching experience.
After beginning his coaching journey at WPLFC as a playing assistant coach, Rob has added to his CV with significant roles in both the AFL & VFL systems. These roles include VFL State Rep Team Midfield Coach (2010), assisting Brett Ratten in the Coaches Box at Carlton (2011 & 2012), Northern Blues Assistant Coach (2008 - 2011) and Northern Blues Senior Assistant Coach (2012 - 2016).
As part of these roles, Rob has been mentored by some amazing individuals. This long list of names includes the likes of Leigh Matthews, Mark Williams, Denis Pagan, David Parkin, Brett Ratten, Rob Wiley, Neil Craig, Gavin Brown, Alan Richardson & Brendon Bolten.
With many clubs chasing Rob's signature, we are delighted that a favourite son has chosen to "return home" and become a key component of our Club's future plans.
