SEASON MESSAGE FROM JUNIOR PRESIDENT

Hi all

I would like to take this opportunity to pen a few words in respect to season 2019.

Firstly, I would like to say that it has been a privilege to be the Junior President for the West Preston Lakeside Footy Club.

Being my first year I was unsure of what was expected and hopefully by the end of the season I found my feet and hopefully I served you all in a respectful and mature fashion.

I loved watching the junior teams train weekly and watching most teams play home games and with that observing the different coaches and their methods of instilling the fundamentals of football!!

I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all players, parents, supporters/members and relatives for supporting the WPLJFC, without you all we would definitely not have a community club to be apart of !!

With that I want to send out a BIG thank you to all the junior committee members who have put in without a lie hundreds of unpaid hours of hard work throughout this season alone, you are all unbelievable human beings and you all have helped make my role a lot easier.

To the junior coaches, I tip my hat to you all, I really do, the amount of countless hours you have all sacrificed as volunteers is AMAZING, the players should all be thankful with the quality of coaches we have. You can all hold your heads high as I feel we have the best in the business.

To all players, congratulations on the year you have all had in 2019, in my eyes you are all winners, the main objective after all is to have fun, play footy with your mates and improve your footy skills.

We have 10 junior sides and 3 of those sides have been able to make finals THIS COMING SUNDAY, so please I implore you all to go out in droves and support the teams with gusto as they will surely lift another gear with our support.

In a boost to the footy club I am pleased to announce that we will be hosting junior finals the following 3 Sundays, and as usual we are calling out for loyal club volunteers to help with a number of different roles so please reach out to myself or Fiona and we will steer you in the right direction.

In closing our community club is successful because of the help and support we get from our parents, our wonderful committee and sub-committee members. To continue to be successful we need to thrive and grow our support base, please consider jumping on board in 2020 to be a part of a successful and prosperous club next year.
